Bio for Dr. Terry Rials |
terry@churchrevitalizer.comDr. Terry Rials has been in Christian Ministry for thirty-three years. He now serves the Western Oklahoma Baptist Association in Oklahoma as the Director of Missions after pastoring the Crestview Baptist Church of Oklahoma City for 28 years. He is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University (B.A., Applied Ministries), Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas (M.Div.BL), and earned his doctorate (D.Min.) from Midwestern Baptist Theological in Church Revitalization. His dissertation project involved training pastors in the principles of revival and revitalization by equipping them to begin a revitalization project in their churches.
Dr. Rials has studied abroad in Israel, Egypt, and at Oxford University in England. He taught New Testament courses and Biblical Hermeneutics for Oklahoma Baptist University at its Oklahoma City campus. He has also taught the Church Revitalization classes for the Master of Arts in Theological Studies program at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and taught Doctoral Seminars for Midwestern and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminaries. Dr. Rials is active in leading church revitalization efforts in Oklahoma and nationally. He is a frequent conference speaker and teacher. He recently wrote The Nuts and Bolts of Church Revitalization with Dr. Tom Cheyney, available at www.amazon.com. His second book, The Spiritual Mechanics of Church Revitalization, is expected out in the Fall. His wife Kay is active in ministry and their son Hunter works in Physical Therapy. |
Bio for Dr. Jim Grant |
Dr. Jim Grant is Director of Missions of the Galveston Baptist Association in Texas, after serving as Senior Pastor of churches in Texas and Illinois. He is an Air Force veteran, retiring with 25 years of service. His extensive travels while in the military allowed him the unique ability to have served in the full gambit of churches’ styles and health.
He has a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate of Ministry degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological seminary with a concentration on Church Revitalization. He and his wife Kathy have been married for 41 years; they have two daughters and five grandchildren. |
